Product Mart Is Ending Its Employee Point System

Product Mart is ending its long-used employee attendance point system as the company struggles to find employees and as its need for employees heightens. The company is looking for ways to make working at Product Mart more fun and to ensure the employees are retained. The company also announced that firings will still happen if unreasonable attendance is proven.

"We know that our company stuggles to find employees, so we are test running getting rid of the attendance points, but this system can be reintroduced if needed," said Chief Executive Officer Ronald Chlabowy. "The system will end on June 1, 2024, and our store managers are working to ensure that strong attendance policies are being enforced to ensure our company's success and to ensure that customers are being taken care of while they shop in our stores."

The comapny says the Point System is used to hold associates accountable of how much they call off and to keep track of their points to ensure they aren't terminated.
